1. Introduction

Deaf Bible Society ("DBS," "we," "us," or "our") operates DCW Live at live.deafchurchwhere.com. DCW Live lets viewers watch published live worship streams and recordings from Deaf churches worldwide. It is a viewer library — not an editor, admin, or church-management tool.

Church partners add, update, publish, unpublish, and delete streams and related church information in DCW Partners and other external systems. Those products have their own accounts and privacy practices. This policy covers what happens when you use DCW Live as a viewer.

2. Information We Show on Live

DCW Live displays public stream and church information that churches and partners have made available for publication. That may include:

  • Stream titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails, and start/end times
  • Whether a stream is live now or available as a recording
  • Church name and a short location line (for example city and country)
  • Video playback for published streams delivered through our streaming gateway

We do not use Live to collect church editor passwords or partner dashboard account data. Managing streams happens on DCW Partners and related systems outside this app.

3. Information We Collect When You Visit

3.1 Technical and delivery data

Like most websites and video services, our hosting, content delivery, and streaming providers may automatically process limited technical information when you load pages or play video. That can include:

  • IP address, approximate network location, and request time
  • Browser type, device type, and referring page
  • Pages and stream watch URLs you open, and basic delivery metrics needed to serve video securely

DCW Live does not ask for your device GPS location, does not use a map provider for place search, and does not center the experience on your precise location.

3.2 Accounts

Viewers do not need an account to browse or watch on DCW Live. We do not create viewer login accounts on this site.

3.3 Preferences and cookies

Hosting, security, or streaming providers may use cookies or similar technologies needed to deliver the site and media. For details, see our Cookie Policy.

4. How We Use Information

We use information related to Live to:

  • Show published streams and recordings to the public
  • Deliver pages and video securely through our hosts and streaming gateway
  • Keep the service reliable, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse
  • Improve clarity and usefulness of Live for the Deaf community
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms and related policies

5. Sharing and Service Providers

We share information only as needed to run Live, including with:

  • Hosting and content delivery providers that serve the website
  • Cloudflare Stream (and related gateway delivery) for live and recorded video
  • Church image hosting used for thumbnails and fallbacks
  • Systems that store published stream and church display data used to power Live

DCW Live may link to other Deaf Church Where products, such as the map or Partners. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention and Security

Technical logs and delivery records are kept only as long as needed for security, operations, and legal requirements. Published stream content remains available on Live according to church and partner publishing choices in external systems.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Live. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Children

DCW Live is intended for a general audience interested in Deaf church worship streams. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through Live viewer features. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in connection with Live, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Your Choices

  • You can browse and watch without creating a Live account.
  • You can clear cookies and site data in your browser (see the Cookie Policy).
  • Church partners who need to change or remove published stream information should use DCW Partners or contact DBS through the channels provided for partners — Live itself does not offer editor tools.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Live after an update means you accept the revised policy.
